Adolescent Sports Dog Class

$180 for 6 weeks

For dogs 5 months to 2 years

Adolescent Sport Dogs is a 6 week class designed for handlers who have a young dog (older dogs welcome too!) who are looking for sports foundations before their dogs are mentally or physically ready for more advanced classes.

This class will teach body awareness, safety and confidence on obstacles, basic focus and heeling skills, some canine fitness, as well as a little sample of several different sports for the “sports curious” pet owner!

Dogs should be at minimum 5 months of age when beginning this class. They should have already taken a puppy kindergarten or other basic class, and well behaved and polite in a group setting. Ideal for dogs up to 2 years of age but older dogs who need foundations are welcome also.

When you sign up for a class you will receive free access to our member-only Facebook group that includes lots of good articles and resources to help you understand how to set your dog up for success so that you can enjoy life together with your puppy!

Note: Classes do not cover behavioral challenges such as extreme fearfulness or aggression (barking, growling, lunging at others, or confinement distress).  If you are already experiencing any of these problems please check out our private training options.

Full payment is required in order to reserve your space in the class. In the event of severe weather or other emergency, class may be postponed to the following week at the trainers discretion. One handler per dog is preferred due to limited space and handlers are encouraged to wear masks when indoors. Dogs must be up to date for their age on vaccinations in order to attend and will require proof of vaccinations.  

Trick Dog Class

For dogs 5 months and older

Trick Dog is a 6 week class that will cover some fun tricks as well as concepts to help pet owners become better trainers as well. Trainer skills such as luring, capturing, shaping and chaining behaviors will be taught as well as how to apply them to get your dog to do more complex tricks!

We will cover basic tricks like spin, catch a treat, shake, going over a jump and roll over. More advanced tricks will also be taught such as leg weaves, dog jumping through your arms, and beginning weave poles!

An optional evaluation for either Trick Dog Novice or Trick Dog Intermediate through the AKC will be offered on the last night of class for an additional charge of $10 (50% discount).

Dogs should be a minimum of 5 months of age when beginning this class. They should be able to be well behaved and polite in a group class setting. They should have some basic obedience skills such as sit, down, a basic level of loose leash walking and stay.

Puppy Basics Class

$210 for 7 weeks

For puppies 16 weeks to 6 months

If you just brought home an adorable little puppy, then this class is a must for you. In just 7 weeks we will cover all of the basics that you will need in order to have a happy, healthy, friendly, and attentive companion to enjoy life with.

Please keep in mind that we keep the class size small in order to ensure safety and comfort for you and your puppies.  The first class will be an Orientation just for humans without their dogs.

Not only do we provide careful socialization and play with people and dogs, but we also cover topics such as nipping, potty training, and crate training.  Your puppy will learn to master basic cues including sit, down, come, focus, touch, leave it, drop it, place, stay and much more.

When you sign up for a class you will receive free access to our member-only Facebook group that includes lots of good articles and resources to help you understand how to set your dog up for success so that you can enjoy life together with your puppy!

Students will have the option of completing the AKC Star Puppy Program on the last day of class for an additional $10 fee (50% discount).

Puppy Socialization

$120 for 4 weeks

For puppies 8-16 weeks

This class is perfect for puppies who eventually want to attend the Puppy Basics Class. Play Socialization is a mix of confidence building through positive small group play with other puppies and exploration of the brand new world around them.  We will also have discussions of common puppy raising topics like potty training, nipping, chewing and much more.  

Please keep in mind that we keep the class size small in order to ensure safety and comfort for you and your puppies. While there are risks to bringing puppies out in public before they are fully vaccinated, there are also risks to limiting socialization during this critical developmental period (up to three months).

We base our puppy socialization class on the statement made by the American Veterinarian Society of Animal Behavior.

Essential Manners Class

For dogs 6 months or older

Essential Manners group class is designed as a training foundation for friendly, non-reactive dogs over 6 months of age. This class will give you the skills you’ll need to set your dog up for success so that you can enjoy life together!

Please keep in mind that we keep the class size small in order to ensure safety and comfort for you and your dogs.  The first class will be an Orientation just for humans without their dogs.

Not only will we cover topics such as loose leash walking, jumping, and crate training but your dog will also master basic cues such as sit, down, stand, stay, come, leave it, focus and much more! Public Manners Class

For dogs who have passed their Canine Good Citizen or who have completed the Essential Manners Class.

Has your dog mastered its essential manners but could use some practice in real life situations out in public? Our Public Manners class is designed for you to attain the behaviors needed for you and your dog to enjoy life together out on the town.

After our initial class orientation, we will meet at five different locations such as shopping centers, parks and trails. We will expose your dogs to real life situations such as sitting politely for petting, walking through a crowd, stays with distractions and recalls at the park.

Students will have the option of completing the Canine Good Citizen Advanced test for an extra fee of $10 at the final class. Let’s have some fun and hit the town with our well behaved canines!

Handling Class (Conformation)

Classes will have rolling enrollment, meaning if there is an open spot, you can join at any time.  If you have not worked with us before, you may be required to complete a 30 minute virtual lesson for $30 before attending your first class.

* Classes will meet at various locations around town. Class locations will be announced via email.  Outdoor classes are weather dependent.  If there are two or less people registered for class that week it will be canceled.

For dogs who have goals of competing in the conformation show ring and are behaviorally sound.

In this class we will cover types of show leads, how to stack your dog, and how to get your dog to trot versus pacing.  We will also cover how to bait/present your dog to the judge.  Your dog will also get practice being examined by the instructor.  It is best if your dog has had some type of introduction to a show lead prior to class.

Please note: Emails will go out every Thursday with details about class as well as the roster for the week.  If you fail to attend and your name is on the roster for this week you will be charged a $15 no show fee.
